This privacy policy sets out how Peak Assessment Centre uses and protects any information that you give Peak Assessment Centre when you use this website.

Peak Assessment Centre is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.  Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy.  Peak Assessment Centre may change this policy from time to time by updating this page.  You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.  This policy is effective from 1st September 2022.

This Privacy Policy applies to all Peak Assessment Centre website and social media sites.

Peak Assessment Centre are registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) within the United Kingdom.

Collected Personal Data 

Peak Assessment Centre will process (collect, store and use) the information you provide in a manner compatible with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it for longer than is necessary.

Peak Assessment Centre collects personal data when an online enquiry is submitted or when computer-based examinations are ordered.

To process enquiries and orders, Peak Assessment Centre will collect name, email and postal addresses, contact phone number, and, if applicable, company and type of business, and where applicable manager’s name and email address.  Candidates may be asked for their date of birth and professional body registration number as well as credit or debit card information for payment.

Peak Assessment Centre may use postal and email addresses to send information relating to a candidates studies or to make a candidate aware of related goods and services provided by Peak Assessment Centre.  Peak Assessment Centre may also use personal information to communicate with the relevant professional body regarding examination and registration status.  Peak Assessment Centre does not disclose personal details to any third party.  If a candidate does not wish for Peak Assessment Centre to contact them by post or email, then they can opt out by emailing or writing.

We will only collect and use your information where we have lawful grounds and legitimate business reasons to do so.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping
  • We may use this information to improve our products and services
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes.

Data Sharing

We may pass your personal data on to third-party service providers contracted to Peak Assessment Centre while dealing with you.

To fulfil your booking, we will need to share your data with our cloud-based databases - our booking system, online learning platform, and supplier of study materials.

When your employer is paying for your examination with Peak Assessment Centre, we will share your data, with your employer. 

For results service procedures we will also share your data with the relevant professional body.

Any third parties that we may share your data with are also obliged to keep your details securely, and to use them only to fulfil the service they provide you on our behalf.  When they no longer need your data to fulfil this service, they will dispose of the details complying with Peak Assessment Centre. 

SECURITY

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

All personal details are held on a secure server so that all details are protected from unauthorised use, modification or disclosure. The padlock symbol in the web browser means that industry-standard secure server software (SSL) is in place to encrypt any information that is sent. This ensures the safe processing of credit/debit card details when online orders are placed.  Peak Assessment Centre does not currently store any financial details (credit/debit card numbers).

RETAINING AND DELETING PERSONAL DATA

Peak Assessment Centre will process and retain your personal information to enable us to comply with our legal obligations, provide services, resolve any disputes which may arise, and enforce our agreements.

The processing of data is necessary for providing our services, and completing the agreements entered into with our customers. These are candidates booking their own exams, or employers/agencies booking exams for their staff or students.

After an exam booking has been made with Peak Assessment Centre by an individual, your data will be stored for a maximum of three years.  If after three years have passed with no communication, it will be concluded that you have completed the qualification or are no longer studying.

After an exam booking has been made with Peak Assessment Centre by an employer, the data will be stored for a maximum of three years. If after three years have passed with no communication, it will be concluded that they have no further interest in our services.

Where legislation requires a change to the three-year rule outlined above, data will be retained to comply with that legislation.

WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?

Under GDPR, EU data subjects are entitled to exercise the following rights:

  • Right of Access: Find out what kind of personal information is held about you and get a copy of this information.
  • Right of Rectification: Ask for your information to be updated or corrected.
  • Right to Erasure: In certain circumstances, you may also have your personal information deleted.

  • Right to Data Portability: Receive a copy of the information which you have provided under contract so that you can provide that information to another organization.

Peak Assessment Centre at your request, will confirm the information held about you and how it is processed.

Data subjects are entitled to obtain:

  • Confirmation as to whether Peak Assessment Centre is processing any personal data about that individual;
  • Access to their personal data;
  • Any related information.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
